Help support families struggling with food insecurity.

Join us for an all day food drive on Friday, November 21.
We'll broadcast live from 6am to 6pm split between
Hy-Vee in New Hope and Hy-Vee in Maplewood.
All to support Second Harvest Heartland.

The food collected at these two HyVee locations will be going right back into the community. Monetary donations will enable Second Harvest Heartland to source and distribute more food to its 1,000+ partner food shelves and hunger-relief programs throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

In Person Donation

Stop by the New Hope Hy-Vee or the Maplewood Hy-Vee between 6am - 6pm on Friday, November 21 and bring a food donation or buy something in store and bring out to the truck we're filling!

Cash Donation

We're also hosting an online fundraiser to collect monetary donations for Second Harvest Heartland. If you want to Give to the Max you can donate this way as well.

Minnesota’s Hunger Crisis
• The holidays are approaching, and families will be gathering to share meals. But for 1 in 5 Minnesota households who face food insecurity, affording essential groceries and holiday staples is out of reach.

• Minnesota has seen record food shelf visits for three years in row, with 9 million visits recorded last year.

• The cost of groceries, housing, energy, and healthcare continue to go up.

• Economic uncertainty and recent reductions in benefits have families turning to food shelves more often to fill their fridges.

• Thousands of Minnesotans have been set back by the delay in November SNAP benefits and federal employees went at least six weeks without a full paycheck during the government shutdown.

• Together, we can ensure every family has access to nourishing food and can have a meal to gather around this holiday season.
