The former Little Mix star opened up about life with her twins, Ocean and Story, who were diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) type 1 in the months after they were born in May 2025.

Speaking during an appearance on Heart Breakfast with Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston on Thursday, Jesy explained that her daughters have been using feeding tubes as part of their ongoing treatment.

“I remember when they were showing me how to put a feeding tube down their nose into her chest for secretions,” the 34-year-old said. “And I remember crying going ‘I don’t want to do this’ because she was crying and I’m like, I feel like I’m hurting her.”

Despite finding the process distressing, Jesy said she was told there was no alternative.

“She’s like ‘listen, I know this is horrible but you don’t have a choice you’ve got to do it because no one else is going to do this,’ and you just have to suck it up and get on with it and I know that’s part of being a mum but you just never expect that you’re going to do this on your child,” she told the hosts.

The Black Magic singer admitted that managing the daily medical procedures remains the most challenging aspect of motherhood.

“For me, it’s everything, but for me the thing that I struggle the most with is the medical stuff on them. It’s everyday,” Jesy shared.

Elsewhere in the interview, the singer revealed that her music career has taken a back seat while she focuses on her daughters, who she said are “doing really well”.

“Look listen I’d never say never to music, but for me, my girls are my main focus,” she stated. “I’ll be honest with you, I’ve not got time, I really don’t.”

Jesy shares Ocean and Story with rapper Zion Foster. She confirmed earlier this month that they had split after four years together.

During an entertainment news update on Britain’s Heart FM on Thursday, the former Pussycat Dolls singer incorrectly reported the death of the Hollywood legend while presenting alongside Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston.

Detailing what she described as the “sad news”, Roberts told listeners, “Dawson’s Creek’s Dick Van Dyke has passed away.”

However, she had intended to refer to Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek, who died on Wednesday, aged 48, following a battle with colorectal cancer.

Theakston was quick to correct his co-host’s error, interjecting, “Not Dick Van Dyke – come on. If you’re going to do a sensitive moment, if you’re going to do an obituary, you can’t just say Dick Van Dyke.”

Holden then clarified that the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang actor is “alive”.

Realising her mistake, Roberts acknowledged that Van Dyke had recently celebrated his 100th birthday.

“Yes, (he’s alive) – he’s 100 years old! Oh my gosh, we spoke about this, I’m so sorry,” she stated.

Theakston added, “Unbelievably, he’s very much still alive.”

The on-air slip comes almost two months after the Mary Poppins actor marked his centenary with a low-key celebration at his Malibu home alongside his wife of 13 years, Arlene Silver.

It was announced on Wednesday that Van Der Beek had died following a two-year battle with stage 3 colorectal cancer.

A statement published on the actor’s Instagram account read, “Our beloved James David Van Der Beek passed peacefully this morning. He met his final days with courage, faith, and grace.”

The Wuthering Heights actress, who has been running the production company LuckyChap for the past 11 years, has been open about her ambition to direct a feature one day.

During an appearance on the Table Manners podcast, Robbie was asked if she would “do a Yentl”, referring to the 1983 drama Barbra Streisand co-wrote, co-produced, directed and starred in.

The Australian actress insisted that she “would never” because acting and directing at the same time feels inefficient.

“I’ve spoken to a lot of actor-directors and been like, ‘How do you do both?’ It just sounds inefficient,” she replied. “Like, to do a take and then go back to the monitors, watch the take, make the adjustments and go back instead of… you’ve got to jump straight back into it. I don’t know how I could do it and not be like, ‘This is not efficient.’ I don’t like a not efficient set.”

The 35-year-old explained that through her experience as a producer, she knows the financial impact of those lost minutes.

“Once you know your day cost, if you divide that by the minute. Sometimes I think, ‘If actors only knew (how much each minute costs),'” she divulged. “If an actor makes you wait for 20 minutes, I’m like, ‘You just wasted $600,000.'”

The I, Tonya star added that she really wants to direct, but she doesn’t have the time as running LuckyChap with her husband Tom Ackerley and friend Josey McNamara is a 24/7 job.

“Producing takes up all of my time. It’s not acting that takes up my time; acting takes up a chunk of time but then you’re like, ‘I’m done with the job.’ Producing is 24/7, every day of the year. It doesn’t stop,” she admitted.

“For the last 11 years, I’ve never not been actively producing. It’s been great but I need to figure out how to step away from that more so that I can make space to try and direct.”

Robbie’s latest film as a star and producer, Wuthering Heights, will be released in cinemas on Friday.

The Nun director’s new horror follows a bunch of unwitting high school students who discover a cursed object, an ancient Aztec death whistle, and learn the hard way that blowing it summons their future deaths to hunt them down.

As a longtime fan of Frost’s, Hardy had hoped to work with the Shaun of the Dead star for a while, but he didn’t want to get his hopes up when he offered him the role of teacher Mr. Craven.

“I’ve known Nick for a long time through (director) Edgar Wright, ever since the Spaced days,” Hardy told Cover Media, referring to Wright and Frost’s 1999 TV show. “I’ve always been a fan, always wondered, you know, like, ‘Oh, I wonder if I can get Nick in something?'”

“And then (with Whistle), it’s sort of like, you don’t want to get too excited (in case) you don’t get someone, but Nick read it and said yes, so that was a really nice opportunity to have him fly over.”

Hardy revealed that the Hot Fuzz star arrived in Canada the night before his first day on set and was shooting his scenes the following morning.

Of Frost’s week on set, the British filmmaker added, “It was great to have him and he brings a certain levity to it which the character needed as well… He’s got some very subtle (comedic moments).”

Elsewhere in the interview, the Gangs of London director explained that most of his cast – which also includes Dafne Keen and Sophie Nélisse – would play themselves as well as their future deaths “in some form”, although the sequences where they come face to face also required doubles in full-body prosthetics.

“It’s fine when you read the script and it’s like, ‘Their death is doing something to them,’ but that means you do have to have someone who looks just like them in some way or whatever,” he shared. “So Nick Frost had a double, we had to cast someone that had a sort of (similar) bone make-up appearance that we could then do full prosthetics on to be Nick Frost’s future death.”

Whistle is released in cinemas in the U.K. and Ireland from Friday 13 February.

On Wednesday, RadarOnline published leaked footage of Curtis blurting out the N-word after becoming frustrated while working on her latest project.

Curtis appeared shocked at her own words, immediately following it up with, “What the f**k was that that I just said?”

Curtis hosted the reality TV show about rescuing condemned historic homes in Detroit and Minneapolis from demolition, and restoring them to their former glory.

“There is more to this but my family comes first and I need to be mom right now more than anything else,” Curtis shared to Instagram.

“I will take the time to be as I have always been with you, transparent and honest.”

Curtis earlier expressed regret to TMZ, telling the outlet, “I want to be clear: the word in question is wrong and not part of my vocabulary and never has been, and I apologise to everyone.”

Rehab Addict launched in 2010 and has been on air for nine seasons with Curtis at the helm.

On Wednesday, a spokesperson announced that the Dawson’s Creek actor had died “peacefully” at the age of 48 following a two-and-a-half-year battle with colorectal cancer.

Shortly after the sad news, some of James’s close friends launched a GoFundMe to help support his wife, Kimberly Van Der Beek, and their six children, as the family is facing “significant financial strain”.

By early Thursday, over 19,200 people had donated to the fund, with at least $1 million raised of the $1.3 million (£950,000) goal.

In a statement shared on her Instagram page, Kimberly thanked James’s fans from around the world for their assistance.

“My friends created this link to support me and our children during this time. With gratitude and a broken heart,” she wrote.

In the original message posted on the GoFundMe account, the organiser confirmed the funds will be used to cover essential living expenses, pay bills, and support the Van Der Beek children’s education.

“The costs of James’s medical care and the extended fight against cancer have left the family out of funds,” they noted. “They are working hard to stay in their home and to ensure the children can continue their education and maintain some stability during this incredibly difficult time. The support of friends, family, and the wider community will make a world of difference as they navigate the road ahead.”

Last November, James teamed up with Propstore to auction off props and costumes from his most famous projects to help ease the financial burden of his ongoing cancer battle.

The actor rose to fame in the late ’90s for his portrayal of Dawson Leery on teen drama Dawson’s Creek. The popular TV series ran from 1998 until 2003.

James was also known for his roles in films such as 1998’s Varsity Blues, 2001’s Texas Rangers, and 2013’s Labor Day.

His last screen performance is as Dean Wilson in the upcoming Legally Blonde prequel TV series, Elle.

James married Kimberly in 2010, with the couple going on to welcome four daughters and two sons.
